Photoshop is an incredibly useful and fun tool for creating, transforming and editing your images. We will work with both drawings and photographs.
What The Course is About:
Photoshop is an incredibly useful and fun tool for creating, transforming and editing your images. We will work with both drawings and photographs. For artists and illustrators it is a fantastic chance to see how your original images can easily be enhanced by changing and manipulating effects and colours, and adding typography to your work. For printmakers, we explore unique ways of preparing photographs and images for producing separations for the printing process.
Each lesson will cover a simple topic that we will work on together. For instance we start with superimposing images for double exposure effects. You will be given plenty of time to work on your own projects using techniques we have covered.
A group of your images - paintings, drawings and/or photographs. These can be scanned or photographed. Ideally they would be ready on a USB drive or accessable online.
A USB drive is handy to save any of work to take away and work on at home or in other classes.
Basic computer skills. No need to know Photoshop.
As we approach the end of the course you will have a digital portfolio of experiments and finished pieces ready to print, share in social media or use in the printmaking department.
You will have the experience of Photoshop to help you decide whether to purchase it or investigate other parts of the Adobe creative suite.
