Exploring Drawing (Intermediate)
This short course will be structured around three aspects of landscape art – water, earth and sky.
What The Course is About:
This short course will be structured around three aspects of landscape art - water, earth and sky. Through a range of media and drawing techniques, and with reference to the work of various artists you will develop a series of exciting landscape drawings. Working from slides and photographs you will learn approaches which you can then use outside in the landscape.
An A3 spiral bound sketchbook, pencils of different grades, A willow charcoal, an eraser (not a puttey rubber), white chalk,
A black fiber tip pen, black ink, a small brush and a drawing pen (the school shop sells a brush and pen in one). A can of fixative or hairspray.
For those who have had some experience of drawing but would like to take it further.
What will I achieve? You will develop the ability handle drawing media in ways which bring together object and experience. You will be able to significantly extend your previous approaches to drawing from observation.
