Printmaking for 13-17 Years

What The Course is About:

Students will experiment with a variety of printmaking activities including collographs [textured collage layers], monoprints, textile block prints from Ghana, Africa and more. You will be guided to build several layers of colours over a number of weeks on your prints.

Materials Required:

None but bring an apron or old shirt as it isn't easy to wash inks out of clothing. Hopefully we will print on a tee-shirt so be prepared to bring a plain, light coloured one along after a few sessions.

Previous Experience:

None required but enthusiasm is most welcome.

End of course:

You will have been introduced to a number of techniques and have several finished pieces. Your creativity, now in full flow, should lead you to explore further courses at the art school.
