Pottery Social

Sip & Spin is a relaxed, social pottery session designed for enjoyment rather than structured learning. These informal, BYOB events offer a welcoming way to try pottery in a friendly studio environment, making them ideal for evenings with friends or for those looking for a low-commitment introduction to working with clay.

Pottery Membership

Pottery membership is designed for experienced makers who want regular access to the studio to develop their practice independently. Members can choose from different studio access slots to suit their schedule, allowing flexibility alongside work or other commitments.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of clay are available?

Clay is purchased by weight before firing. We offer Red Earthenware, Stoneware, and Crank clay.

What glazes do you have?

We provide both Earthenware and Stoneware glazes, including reduction glazes fired in our large gas kiln. We also offer a range of coloured slips.

Are there lockers available to hire for storing tools?

Yes — standard lockers are available to hire onsite for £75 per academic year.

Is there a refreshment area to make drinks, heat food, or socialise in the Pottery Campus?

Yes, we have a seated kitchen area where you can make hot drinks and access a filter coffee machine.

Are there opportunities to display or sell my work?

Yes. We have display cabinets around the school that can be booked in advance. We also hold our annual PSAD Summer Exhibition in June, where all students are encouraged to submit one piece of artwork to be judged in subject categories.
