Painting Projects/Oil Painting Studio

We have a broadly based theme each term, this provides opportunities to develop approaches, techniques and to explore ideas towards more fully resolved work later in the term. Individual support and ‘open easel time’ is offered for those who want to work in a more self-initiated with their own ideas. As well individual and groups discussions, a termly visit to an outside location such as a gallery provides extra stimulus to studio based work.

What The Course is About:

Whether you are an enthusiastic beginner or a dedicated painter this class bridges the gap between classical discipline and contemporary creative expression. Materials Required:

A set of oil paints and brushes, A4 Sketchbook, pencils and charcoal, Kitchen Towel. As the classes progress students will be told what materials are required for the following week. Most materials are available for sale at the Art School including paper by the sheet.
