Oct Half Term – Portrait Project for Young People 13-17 years
This course is ideal to enhance an art portfolio for GCSE, A Levels applying for Art College or students wanting to create quick and energetic drawings.
What The Course is About:
On this course we will cover, learning how to draw from observation and drawing a face in proportion. You will be taught the key observational skills of drawing a portrait, including shape and line, consistency of scale and space, comparative tonal values, composition and how to assess proportion, geometry and perspective with plenty of group and individual demonstrations.
Materials Required:
What to bring to the first session: Any drawing materials you have and a sketchbook. These can also be purchased from the school Art Shop.
Previous Experience:
Suitable for all levels.
End of course:
What will I achieve? The aim of the course is to help you develop your portrait and drawing skills through observation and create portrait work useful for GCSE and A level course work or for a dynamic foundation portfolio.
