February Half Term Courses Coming Soon

Christmas – Intensive Throwing Week – 3D Campus
This course is aimed at throwers that would like to perfect and fine tune their throwing technique. Students will be able to work for 5 consecutive days on individual projects guided by an experienced tutor.
Clay & Calm: Pottery for Wellbeing

Egg Tempera Painting
Egg tempera is a painting technique that was a primary method of painting until after 1500 when it was superseded by the invention of oil painting.
Etching : An Introduction – Christmas
On this 5 day course you will learn the fundamentals of etching, a centuries-old technique that continues to inspire contemporary artists. This introductory course is ideal for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their skills.
Etching : Open Studio – Sundays @ PSAD
Etching Open Studio sessions are available to those who already have some experience of etching techniques and are interested in developing their own projects.
Experimental Art & Media (Intermediate)
This course will give you the knowledge and confidence to experiment with a range of different materials to develop your own ideas and personal visual language.
Family Learning Pottery
With an emphasis on fun, this is an opportunity to work with your child on some great creative projects with clay.
Fine Art Textiles
In the last decade the expressive skills of crafts and making have become valued as fine art practice. This course will allow students to work creatively with a broad range of materials and processes usually associated with textiles. It will provide an opportunity to explore and combine a variety of accessible techniques.
Foundation Diploma in Art and Design
Interviews have started...This Diploma course is offered part-time, 9 hours a week, with a requirement to attend two core courses plus a third option each term over two years. Garden Design (All Levels)
This is an intensive 8-week course aimed at people who are interested in garden design but have varied to no experience of gardening or design.
Illustration (All Levels)
Over this 10-week course, published author/illustrator Sophie Ambrose will take you through all the steps from developing your initial idea to putting together a dummy picture book with a sample of artwork
NEW Portfolio Preparation 3D Campus
If you wish to develop a good grounding in a variety aspects of painting, drawing and mixed media together with an awareness of contemporary and historical art . In particular those who may wish to put together a portfolio for application to a higher level* course or employment in a related field.
NEW: Independent Practice (Fine Art)
This Painting/Fine Art course is aimed at students who need additional time within a purpose built (North Facing) large painting studio. You will be able to work on your own projects.

Oct Half Term – 2 Days: Architectural Drawing & Painting: Expressions
This class will seek to find ways to create lively and expressive drawings and paintings of buildings.
Oct Half Term – 2 Days: Beyond the Spine: Creative Bookbinding
Beyond the Spine: Creative Bookbinding is a hands-on course that explores the book as both a functional object and a creative, expressive form. Moving beyond traditional binding methods, participants will investigate how structure, materials, and sequencing can shape meaning and narrative.
Oct Half Term – 2 Days: Experimental Landscape Painting
Exploring different materials and approaches to creating lively landscape responses.
Oct Half Term – 2 Days: Introduction to Watercolour
This course is ideal for complete beginners who have never used watercolour before, or for those with some experience, who’d like to brush up their skills and gain confidence in using this medium.
Oct Half Term – 2 Days: Pottery for Young People 13-17 years
Get creative with clay and discover the fun of making your own pottery! Whether you are completely new to ceramics or already have some experience, this course is a chance to experiment, learn new skills and develop your own ideas.
Oct Half Term – 2 Days: Screenprinting Workshop (Beginners)
Screenprinting is a method of making an image using stencils and the process is intrinsic to graphics, advertising and packaging.
