Join us for a fresh take on traditional printmaking with a one day course on Alternative Lithography Printing. Whether you’re a seasoned printmaker or a beginner, this hands-on course will push the boundaries of your craft and open new possibilities for experiment and developing your practice.

What You'll Explore:

Alternative Lithography: Learn how to create stunning lithographic prints using traditional Lino. Discover the versatility of non-traditional materials and processes to make expressive and detailed prints.

Materials Required:

You should bring any material (drawings, photographs, found imagery, objects etc) you wish to make works with or from. This is not essential as students may wish to arrive with a totally 'blank canvas', drawing inspiration from the school, the local area, the library. Others may wish to work in a purely abstract or imaginary mode.

MATERIALS FOR YOUR COURSE: We have a generously stocked art shop, which opens daily.

Available from the Shop: Selected specialist papers, Lino Spirit-based felt-tip pen

Please bring any of the above, if you have them, and in addition, any cutting tools.

Previous Experience:

Students looking to explore new opportunities / Intermediate and experienced printmakers seeking new techniques / Beginners with a passion for print and a willingness to experiment.

End of course:

What will I achieve? By the end of the sessions you will have gained knowledge and skills to reassess traditional methods and push the create hybrid prints that blend various work in a creative, supportive environment with guidance and produce experimental and innovative prints.
