Summer School – Watercolour: Painting Seasonal Flowers
This on-day workshop is for absolute beginners and students with some experience.
What The Course is About:
On this one-day course we will explore watercolour techniques through seasonal flowers as the subject matter. You will be taught about colour mixing and a range of watercolour techniques to find ways to express colour, light and texture. The tutor will be on hand throughout to suggest, guide, give tips, help and demonstrate specific techniques.
Materials Required:
What to bring to the first session: Tracing Paper, Sketching Paper, Magnifying glasses, Eraser, HB Pencil, Sharper, Cold or Hot pressed watercolours paper recommended (Arches 100% cotton recommended) or whatever paper is your favourite.
Watercolours - as many as you have, but minimum blue, pink, yellow and black or brown. Palette or tubes whichever you prefer using.
High quality watercolour brushes for example : WINSOR & NEWTON synthetic sable professional watercolour round brush size 0 and 2. Most important is a fine and pointed tip for working on details.
