This course is aimed at anyone interested in improving their throwing skills.

What The Course is About:

This course is aimed at anyone interested in improving their throwing skills. The more experienced students can work on their own self-directed projects. All students will have the opportunity to observe the demonstrations over the three days in the art of throwing. A comprehensive look at improving basic forms in throwing. Plates, cylinders, conical jugs and bowls.

Materials Required:

For the first lesson please bring a notebook / sketchbook and something to write with; a digital camera or camera phone is useful to record of your work. Basic hand tools can be bought from the school shop but there are also some communal tools available to start with. Materials such as clay, slips and glazes are provided and a charge is made based on the weight of your work prior to firing. You will also need a suitable waterproof apron.
