Summer School – 2 Days: Drawing & Printmaking from Sculpture

Using Sculpture as an observational starting point you will collect drawings to use as inspiration  for printmaking. looking at the energy and gesture of monoprint and relief printmaking in general. 

What The Course is About:

On this two day course, you will create a range of print from initial drawings made from Sculpture . These drawings will be used to make a range of print techniques that help to create that quality of weight and form in your images and help you make decisions about design and composition of work.

Materials Required:

A4 or A3 Perspex plate ( 3/5 mm)  to work on and a range of papers, waste cardboard and found textures that can be used in the processes and techniques demonstrated. Small sketchbook for initial drawings

End of course:

What will I achieve? You will learn new techniques and approaches to printmaking whilst developing your observational skills.
