Summer School – Portrait Project for Young People 13-17 years

This course is ideal to enhance an art portfolio for GCSE, A Levels applying for Art College or students wanting to create quick and energetic drawings

What The Course is About:

On this course we will cover, learning how to draw from observation and drawing a face in proportion. You will be taught the key observational skills of drawing a portrait, including shape and line, consistency of scale and space, comparative tonal values, composition and how to assess proportion, geometry and perspective with plenty of group and individual demonstrations. Model’s fee included.

Materials Required:

What to bring to the first session: Any drawing materials you have and a sketchbook. These can also be purchased from the school Art Shop.

What will I achieve? The aim of the course is to help you develop your portrait and drawing skills through observation and create portrait work useful for GCSE and A level course work or for a dynamic foundation portfolio
