Summer School – 2 Days: Experimental Art & Media
This course is an opportunity to explore new ways of seeing and working.
What The Course is About:
This is a taster course, introducing you to new ways of seeing and working. Through a series of experimental and practical exercises students will ‘test out’ and expand their understanding of materials and processes generating ideas for drawings and 3D objects/forms. Responding to a range of different subject matter and stimuli students will explore visual and conceptual ideas/themes towards how you can create both large (installation) and small scale works whilst employing a variety of media.
Materials Required:
Please bring the any materials and tools of your choice as this is an experimental session where you will work on a variety of ways. You can leave materials in the studio overnight during the two days of the course.
Previous Experience:
Suitable for students with experience of drawing and / or making
End of course:
What will I achieve? By the end of the course, encouraged by a new freedom of expression students will have developed a confidence that will re-invigorate and challenge their current art practice and thinking.
