Summer School – Introduction to Book Arts
The purpose of this course is to develop skills in book arts and support participants in creating their own identity as makers. To achieve this, we begin with a discovery process (of choice) that introduces the history, fundamentals, materials, context, and creative potential of either adhesive or non-adhesive bindings.

Summer School – Learn to Draw
On this one day ‘taster’ course, you’ll be introduced to some of the basic skills of observational drawing, including line, space, tone and proportion.
Summer School – Life Drawing (All Levels)
This course is equally worthwhile for those with no drawing or painting experience, as they are for the experienced artist. The aim of the course is to encourage students to develop their drawing and painting skills via access to what some consider the most compelling form, the nude and clothed human body.

A one-day workshop exploring chalk pastels. Known for its vibrant effects, chalk pastel is a great medium, combining colour and drawing with an expressive immediacy.

On this course participants aged 14+ years will learn to use a digital camera in a fun and creative way.

An intensive one-day course working with varied approaches to portrait drawing.
Summer School – Portrait Photography for Young People
This course is a fun and informative introduction to the fundamental elements of portrait photography with an emphasis on the importance of light and how to control it. You will learn how to shoot portraits on location with natural light and in the studio with artificial lighting.

This course is ideal to enhance an art portfolio for GCSE, A Levels applying for Art College or students wanting to create quick and energetic drawings
Summer School – Pottery: Glazing Workshop 3D Campus
This course is aimed at students that want to improve their glazing techniques. Some experience with pottery is expected but not required.
